Dear All,
I am very glad to confirm that we have extended our services outside of Dublin and have opened two new centres- Barnardos Post Adoption Centre Cork and Barnardos Post Adoption Centre Galway. In addition we have a new staff member in Dublin taking over most of my direct work as I must ( sadly) move to management duties! There are two new part time staff members based in Cork and Galway.
We are most grateful to Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, for providing us with the funding to expand. We will be providing a therapeutic service to adopted children and teenagers (both intercountry and domestic) as well as some group support to parents, and workshops for children and teens- all based on our experience since 2007 in Dublin.. Staff are all from various therapeutic backgrounds- child psychotherapy, play therapy etc..
We are committed to prioritising referrals from Tusla social work teams but families can also self-refer. The best way to contact us for the moment is viaadoption@barnardos.ie
