picture of The city of Vladimir

The city of Vladimir is located on the high western shore of the beautiful Klyazma River.
The city borders of the thirteenth century stretched across the hill from west to east. The city became the cradle of Russian history when Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky moved his capital from Kyiv to this place in 1169. Today this bustling city is the administrative centre of Vladimir Region and one of the most attractive places for tourists.
