RIAG have been to the beautiful Botanic Gardens several times over the years and it is always a lovely day out.

You can read about the gardens here.  https://visitwicklow.ie/item/national-botanic-garden-kilmaccuragh/

A little summary:

Description: Around the ruins of a fine Queen Anne style house lie 52 acres of wild Robinsonian gardens. Began in 1712 and further expanded with the advice of the Directors of the Botanic Gardens in Dublin during the 19th Century. Rare trees and shrubs abound. The arboretum is now being replanted by the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin.

Directions: 3km off N11 Dublin to Wexford Road. Driving south turn right at Beehive Pub.

It is free entry for all – Dog are welcome – on a lead.

We hope to have a picnic – walk in the woods, exploring and some fun.    Ideally – a picnic for families – and a separate picnic for the teens…Nice for them to have some space on their own.

Please encourage your teens to come.  They always have a great time together. If your teen is new to the group – don’t worry – they are an inclusive lot -and your teen can join the teen whats app group in advance – and get to know the names at least.  [for info on the teens whats app group – contact 086 8167099].
